The 2026 Michigan gubernatorial election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the governor of Michigan. Democratic secretary of state Jocelyn Benson and Republican congressman John James are the nominees for their respective parties. Democratic incumbent Gretchen Whitmer is term-limited and ineligible to seek a third term.
